Only qualified professionals should aim to treat disease using any of the techniques described herein based on their competency.

How does Panchakarma Help?

Process of panchakarma includes three stages:

  1. Purva Karma – This helps to improve digestion and opens the channels. This is done to loosen toxins, remove blockages and bring the displaced doshas back to their original locations
  2. Pradhan Karma – This is the main Panchakarma procedure that removes the above toxins from the body by one of the 5 Panchakarma procedures as per the intensity of the doshas
  3. Paschat karma – This procedure restores the digestive strength through proper diet recommendations.

The duration of the three stages of panchakarma depends on the chronicity and severity of the dosha vitiation in the individual’s body. When it is more chronic the dosha invades into deeper levels of dhātus and will need extended procedures
