Why Ayurveda?

Ayurveda, India’s 5000+ years old ancient medical science and philosophy, reveals the secret of healing an individual holistically and establishing a healthy lifestyle. Every person has a unique Ayurvedic body type that functions effectively when treated with meals, drinks and herbs most suited to his/her body type. This approach is strongly considered when sickness (long term or short term) affects a person and treatment is recommended. This treatment addresses not only the symptoms but the root cause. A change in diet and lifestyle is recommended to initiate an Ayurvedic journey of healing. Ailments / imbalances that need special treatment are addressed with herbal solutions based on leaves, roots, fruits, seeds, extracts, etc. of plants. Treatment also focuses on building up body’s immunity to prevent the sickness in future.
Current medical science provides relief from symptoms of many illnesses in the short term, albeit with some unpleasant side-effects. Even in the long term, treatments only address symptomatic relief. Root causes are almost never fixed; let alone a recommendation of change in diet and lifestyle.
Ayurveda allows evaluation of the body and mind, and enables creation of an environment that achieves harmony between the two.
